The family of a mother of five who died after being hit by a car in Halifax have paid tribute to her.

Sue Davies, 50, was killed after she was struck by a Mazda 5 TS2 near the Flying Pig pub on Crag Lane in Wheatley just after 01:00 BST on Tuesday.

Relatives described her as a "great, vibrant character" and said she would be "sadly missed".

Two teenagers, aged 15 and 18, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving have been bailed. by West Yorkshire Police.

In a statement, her family said: "There was never a dull moment with her.

"She was a mother of five and was well-known within her community."

Police are continuing to investigate the crash and have appealed for anyone with relevant footage to get in touch.
