New harbour master announced for Guernsey

Guernsey's new harbour master said he had "big boots to fill" ahead of taking on the role.
Guernsey Harbours has announced Captain Jerome Davis is due to take over from Captain David Barker as harbour master when the latter retires in August.
Mr Davis first came to the island as an assistant harbour master in 2015 before becoming head of port operations three years later.
He said it was an honour to be promoted to harbour master as he had "fallen in love" with Guernsey since moving to the island.
Mr Barker, who has spent six years as harbour master, announced in May he was going to retire.
He said he plans to relocate to North Yorkshire with his wife to be closer to their family.
Mr Davis said he knew how important the harbour was to Guernsey and was proud to be given the opportunity.
"I have fallen in love with Guernsey during my time here and it is an honour to be able to serve the island as its harbour master," he said.
"While I am well acquainted with the role of harbour master, having served as David’s deputy, I will be gleaning as much as possible from him in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth handover.
"David has been an excellent mentor throughout his time here - I have some big boots to fill."
