A man has died following a collision between a car and a motorbike on the M11 in Essex.

The motorbike rider – a man in his 30s – was pronounced dead at the scene.

It happened near Harlow on the southbound carriageway of the motorway just before 15:50 BST on Sunday.

The northbound carriageway reopened after being closed to allow the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance to land, but the southbound carriageway between junction seven and junction six was expected to remain closed for the rest of the evening.
