Individuals and organisations have been invited to apply for financial support to go towards environmental initiatives.
Guernsey's Strategy for Nature Fund said, for the fifth year running, it wanted to address threats to the natural environment. The fund was launched in 2021 and aimed to help address "drivers of change" described in the State of Nature 2024 report.
A total of 14 local environment projects and four students received £40,000 from the fund in 2024, helping support monitoring marine mammals, beach cleans and researching plant-pollinator networks.
Julia Henney, senior natural environment officer, said the fund had gone from "strength to strength" each year.
She said: "The fund has been able to support a wide range of projects which have helped to address some of the drivers of biodiversity loss and support local species and habitats.
"We are excited to see what projects we might be able to support this year.''
The £40,000 fund is split through the form of grants, with £9,000 dedicated specifically to bursaries for students completing graduate or post graduate degrees with a commitment to carry out date collection for research projects in Guernsey.
