Cyclist in hospital after assault by e-bike rider

A cyclist has been taken to hospital after he was assaulted by an e-bike rider in Leicester.
Police said it was called to Aylestone Road shortly before 09:00 BST on Wednesday but the e-bike rider had left the scene before officers arrived.
The cyclist - a man - was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, a police spokesperson added.
Aylestone Road, close to the junction with Richmond Avenue, was shut but has since reopened, the force said.
