Man seriously injured after being hit by bottle

A man in his 40s has been seriously injured after he was struck in the head with a bottle in a Cornish town, police have said.
Officers were called to the Fore Street area of Looe at about 00:35 BST, where they found the man unconscious, said Devon and Cornwall Police.
Police said the victim, who is local, was being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
An 18-year-old man from Looe was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and remained in custody.
Police appealed for anyone who witnessed the attack or had footage to get in touch.
