Cyclist involved in hit-and-run crash dies

A cyclist who was struck by a driver in a suspected hit-and-run collision has died from his injuries.
West Midlands Police said the 25-year-old was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car on Brandwood Park Road in Birmingham on Friday evening.
It said it believed the crash involved a silver BMW and the driver had failed to stop at the scene.
A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has since been bailed while inquiries continue.
