Man died from head injuries and stab wound

A man whose body was found in a house died from head injuries and a single stab wound, a post-mortem has found.
William McNicholl, known as Billy, was found dead by Suffolk Police at an address in Hawthorn Drive, Ipswich, shortly before 18:00 GMT on 1 January.
The force has since launched a murder inquiry into the death of the 63-year-old, who was from the town.
Det Supt Mike Brown said the force believed it to be an "isolated incident" and no arrests had been made.
A Home Office post-mortem examination was conducted on Saturday.
"Billy's family are being supported by specially trained officers through what is an extremely distressing time for them," said Det Supt Brown.
"A large number of officers and staff have already been involved in the investigation, with searches, house-to-house and CCTV inquiries taking place.
"Residents should expect to see a continued increased police presence over the coming days."
He added that "all and any lines of inquiry" were being investigated.
A police presence remained at the premises near to the junction with Marigold Avenue and floral tributes had been placed in the area.
Detectives want to hear from anybody with information about the case or who saw any suspicious activity near the property between Tuesday, 24 December and Wednesday, 1 January.
