Third arrest made in hit-and-run investigation

A third man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash which left a teenage pedestrian in critical condition.
The 17-year-old boy suffered serious injuries in the collision on Halifax Road in the Buttershaw area of Bradford on Monday.
West Yorkshire Police said the vehicle involved was believed to have hit the teenager at about 20:30 BST before leaving the scene.
All three arrested men remain in custody, the force confirmed.
The latest arrest, a 24-year-old man, had been held on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
A 33-year-old man was being questioned on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
Another man, also 33, had been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The force said officers in a patrol car had witnessed a car on the opposite side of the road "believed to be travelling above the speed limit" around the time of the incident.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed it had made a voluntary referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
