A police officer has been sacked for making inappropriate comments to a female colleague.
PC David Mellor, who was based in Leeds, was accused of engaging in sexually inappropriate behaviour and unprofessional behaviour while on duty in August 2022.
A misconduct hearing found his behaviour amounted to gross misconduct and he was dismissed without notice from West Yorkshire Police.
He will also be added to the College of Policing's Barred List which will prevent him from gaining employment in any other policing role.
Det Ch Supt Tanya Wilkins, from West Yorkshire Police's Professional Standards Directorate, said there was "no place for this behaviour" in the force and said it remained committed to creating a workplace that was "inclusive and safe" for everybody.
"No one should be subject to behaviour from colleagues that makes them feel uncomfortable, and this is made very clear in the standards expected of officers, staff and volunteers at West Yorkshire Police," she said.
"This officer has made inappropriate comments of a sexual nature and in doing so has breached those standards."
