A police dog tracked a suspect who had hidden in a wheelie bin after more than 400 cannabis plants were seized by officers.
West Midlands Police said their organised crime team carried out three warrants in Coventry on Wednesday.
Officers forced their way into two homes in Dunster Place and one in Three Spires Avenue before arresting four people.
Detectives said four men have since been charged with the production of cannabis.
The force said officers discovered more than 300 plants in the two homes in Dunster Place, which have a potential value of more than £500,000, before a further 100 were found in Three Spires Avenue.
They said after the raids, police dog Zade chased one suspect through back gardens before finding the man in a wheelie bin.
