A man has been arrested after a car crash that injured a female pedestrian.

South Wales Police said the incident occured in the Penarth Road area of Grangetown, Cardiff, on Friday afternoon.

The force described the woman's injuries as "non-life threatening".

Road closures are in place and police has advised motorists to avoid the area.
