A serving Thames Valley Police (TVP) officer who was charged with one count of sexual assault has had the case against him discontinued.
PC Nathan Budd, who last year was based at TVP's Kidlington headquarters, was charged with one count of sexual assault on a female over 16 in January 2024.
TVP said on Thursday that the criminal case against him was discontinued after no evidence was offered prior to a trial.
A misconduct panel organised by TVP earlier this month found the allegation of sexual assault against Mr Budd was not proven following a four-day hearing.
