Man seriously hurt after street shooting

Police were called to reports of a shooting in Westbourne Road

A man is in hospital with injuries which could be life-changing, police said, after he was shot in a street in Wolverhampton.

Reports of the shooting saw police called to Westbourne Road on Wednesday, shortly after 18:30 GMT, and officers said a man in his 30s was hurt.

CCTV footage is being reviewed and there is a police presence in the area, a spokesman for the West Midlands force said.

Anyone who has information or dashcam footage was urged to contact police or Crimestoppers.
