A teenage girl has been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car.
Police received a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian near the Esso petrol station in Battle Hill, Battle, at 07:45 BST on Tuesday.
The girl was seriously injured and was airlifted to King's College Hospital in London, Sussex Police said.
Temporary road closures were in place while officers responded to the incident.
