Nine people from Cleethorpes are celebrating after winning a share of £3.2m.

Those living in Campden Crescent landed the biggest prizes as part of the Postcode Lottery.

Each ticket attached to the DN35 7UG postcode is worth £145,454.

One of the lucky winners was Kayleigh Burnett, who describes it as “life-changing”.

The mother-of-two immediately FaceTimed her husband to tell him the good news.

She said: “I thought I would maybe win enough to get my windows done, but never in a million years did I ever think I would win this much.

'Beyond my wildest dreams'

“It will make life a bit more comfortable. We will take my two little boys on a really nice holiday.”

Bill Cobley, 74, was another who pocketed the big prize.

The keen gardener said: “We used to win a few prizes for our vegetables, but this is a prize I never expected to win.

“It’s beyond my wildest dreams. People like us don’t just come into that sort of money.”

Mr Cobley feels the £3.2m win will lift spirits in the area.

NHS nurse Lesley Craig, 57, also bagged a six-figure sum. She said: “It’s not sunk in yet.

“I think until it does, we can go on a nice holiday.”

Residents who play with postcodes starting DN35 7 also pocketed £1,306 for every ticket they hold.

Duncan Young, Ms Burnett’s dad, was one of the 1,112 people landing cash prizes to make it double delight for the family.

Andy Mckinven was also one of those. He said: “I noticed over the road Postcode Lottery people going in and I thought ‘they’ve won the lottery’.

“They then mentioned we would get a share, which I didn’t realise. I am pleased for people more than anything else.”
