Douglas City Council celebrates Queen Camilla's visit

  • Published

Queen Camilla's visit to the Isle of Man's capital to grant formal city status was "such an honour", the council's leader has said.

Her Majesty visited the Douglas City Hall for the official proceedings, which included a speech delivered on behalf of King Charles III.

She then greeted hundreds of well-wishers who had lined the streets for the visit.

Claire Wells said the honour, awarded as part of Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, was "great" for the island's capital.
