A woman was sexually assaulted by two men who approached her in a Staffordshire park on Sunday night.

Police are hunting the attackers. who targeted their victim, aged in her 40s, in Thistleberry Parkway in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

Staffordshire Police said the men struck at about 22:30 GMT grabbing hold of her to carry out the attack, but then walked away when she fought back.

The suspects were wearing dark clothing and of differing ages, according to the force.

A police spokesperson said officers were providing support for the victim and officers would be speaking to people who live in the area as part of their inquiries.
