A woman who died in a house fire, which also killed a young girl and left another critically injured, has been named locally as Danielle Parkinson.

The 31-year-old was taken to hospital after firefighters pulled her and the two children from the burning property in Huddersfield on Wednesday, but died a short time later.

One of the two children, an eight-year-old girl, also died, while a 10-year-old girl remains in a critical condition in hospital.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay for Ms Parkinson's funeral, as well as that of the eight-year-old.

West Yorkshire Police said it was treating the fire as "suspicious", but that it was not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Emergency services had been called to the house, on Leeds Road, at around 02:20 BST on Wednesday.

The Fire Service said all three victims had been given CPR at the scene before being taken to hospital.

A number of bouquets and a heart-shaped balloon have been left outside the house.
