Fire crews worked into the night to bring a blaze in a field under control which had been started deliberately.

The fire was reported in the field on Biggin Lane in Ramsey at about 16:50 BST on Sunday.

Crews from Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service found several bales on fire and spent until about 00:00 ensuring the flames did not spread to other parts of the field.

The incident was being treated as arson and anyone with information about it was urged to contact police.
