Man arrested after knife robbery in shop

A man from St Leonards was detained 40 minutes after the initial report was made to police

A man has been arrested following a reported robbery in East Sussex.
Sussex Police received a report just after midday on Saturday that a man had entered a shop in Queens Road, Hastings in possession of a knife.
He is alleged to have stolen the takings from the till before fleeing the area.
Police said a 26-year-old man from St Leonards was arrested on suspicion of robbery 40 minutes later. He remains in custody.
Officers remain in the area conducting CCTV enquiries and speaking with witnesses.
