An actor who found fame on social media after dressing up as the infamous air-con unit that delayed the opening of the Co-op Live arena has admitted the choice for a Halloween party was "quite specific".

Manchester's Dan Ellis said after reading the news about how the ventilation unit came off the ceiling of the UK's largest indoor arena in Manchester, the decision of what to wear was made.

The unit fell from the roof of the 23,500-seat venue shortly before a show by US rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie in May. The show had to be cancelled.

Referring to the much-loved children's show, Dan said the costume was "a bit Art Attack" and was made up of a cardboard box, paper plates and stickers.
