PC dismissed after letting person into her home

A police officer has been sacked for gross misconduct after letting a member of the public into her home.
Former PC Lucy Rowe, based in south Staffordshire, was dismissed without notice following an accelerated misconduct hearing.
Staffordshire Police said its professional standards department found the former officer did not stop communicating with the individual and failed to report contact with them.
A meeting, chaired by Chief Constable Chris Noble, ruled the actions amounted to Ms Rowe breaching the force's standards relating to honesty and integrity, and orders and instructions.
The former officer will now be placed on the National College of Policing's Barred List, preventing her from working within policing and other law enforcement bodies.
Deputy Chief Constable Jon Roy said: "We expect the highest standards of integrity and conduct from our officers.
"We continue to make clear the level of conduct required, to make it easier for our officers to report misconduct and to search out and remove those unsuitable to work at Staffordshire Police, and subsequently other forces."
