Further attempted murder arrests after cyclist hit

Detectives investigating the attempted murder of an electric bike rider in a Northamptonshire town have made three further arrests.

The driver of a black BYD car collided with an 18-year-old cyclist and a CCTV mast near Rockingham Road in Corby on Thursday afternoon. The rider remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Two out of the three men - all of whom have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder - are continuing to be questioned by police, while a third man has been released on bail.

Those in custody are aged 21 and 24 and were arrested on Monday, while the other man was aged 23 and was apprehended by officers on Saturday. All of the men are from Corby.

Four other people - three men and a woman from Corby - arrested previously in connection with the incident have been released on bail, pending further investigations.
