Driver arrested after cyclist struck and killed

The cyclist died at the scene and the female driver, aged in her 40s, was arrested

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving after a cyclist was knocked off his bike and killed.
The crash involved a Toyota Yaris travelling along Victoria Avenue in Blackley at about 09:35 BST, Greater Manchester Police said.
A force spokesperson said the cyclist, a man in his 60s, had been travelling in the opposite direction and was struck as the driver turned into Colmore Drive.
He died at the scene and the driver, aged in her 40s, was arrested.
Witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area have been urged to contact the force.
