A number of north Derbyshire bus routes will be changing on Monday.

From 2 September, High Peak Buses will be making changes to services through places including Ashbourne, Bakewell, Belper, Buxton, Derby, Hayfield, Macclesfield, Matlock, New Mills and Whaley Bridge.

Affected routes include the 113, Transpeak TP2/TP3, and the 60/60A.

Passengers are advised to check their amended timetables before travelling.

On the 113 Ashbourne to Belper route, following discussions with Derbyshire County Council, a new timetable is being brought in to reflect changes to school times.

The route the bus takes is also changing at the Cowers Lane crossroads to run along the B5023 Wirksworth Road and then along Nether Lane, Hob Hill and Hazelwood Hill through Hazelwood, and vice versa.

Stops at the Railway Inn in Cowers Lane, Overlane in Shottlegate, Overlane Farm in Hazelwood and St John the Evangelist Church in Hazelwood will no longer be served.

On the Transpeak TP2/TP3 Derby to Matlock and the 60/60A Macclesfield to Hayfield/New Mills routes, revised timetables have been drawn up “to improve reliability”, said the bus firm.
