Dispersal order after anti-social behaviour reports

Caterham train station is in the zone of the dispersal order

A dispersal order has been put in place in a town centre in Surrey to tackle an increased number of reports of anti-social behaviour, police have said.
The order came into force in Caterham on Friday afternoon and will be in place until 15:00 GMT on Sunday.
It covers the area of Caterham Valley, including Church Walk, some of Croydon Road and Godstone Road, Queens Park, Raglan Precinct and Caterham train station.
Surrey Police said said the order would "enable officers and PCSOs to direct anyone either committing or believed to intend to commit anti-social behaviour to leave the designated area".
Anyone who fails to comply or returns to the zone where the dispersal order is in place could be subject to being arrested, said the force.
It added: "Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated across our county and we will deal with offences robustly."
