Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in Barton Seagrave

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a collision involving a car on a village road.

The crash happened at about 20:20 BST on Saturday on Barton Road in Barton Seagrave, near Kettering, according to Northamptonshire Police.

The force said the motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was riding a red Aprilia Shiver which collided with a white Ford Fiesta.

He was taken to University Hospital Coventry with serious injuries.

The force appealed for witnesses and any dashcam footage.
