New inclusive play equipment will be installed at a country park in April.

The play area at Rushcliffe Country Park in Ruddington, Nottinghamshire, will have sensory equipment including chimes, a rain wheel and a musical bell tree as well as a giant four-in-a-row game and interactive panels.

Pathways will also be resurfaced inlaid with animal motifs to make the play area more accessible.

The equipment will be closed in the first week of April to allow the resurfacing to take place, said Rushcliffe Borough Council.

The play area had a major overhaul last summer with inclusive equipment installed.

Councillor Jonathan Wheeler thanked Rushcliffe Country Park visitors for their patience during the latest work.

He said: "We're delighted to continue our investment in the playground by introducing even more inclusive play equipment ensuring that children of all abilities can enjoy our play parks together."
