A 16-year-old has been arrested after three suspected arson attacks in park playgrounds in Hull.

Humberside Police launched an investigation after incidents in the Alderman Kneeshaw Park and Bellfield Avenue on Sunday. A further incident took place in East Park on Wednesday.

Officers later said they were reviewing CCTV footage after playground equipment was left badly damaged.

Humberside Fire and Rescue said there had been no reports of any injuries.

On Facebook, the Love Parks Hull page, which is run by Hull City Council, said the playground at East Park will be closed until late on Friday afternoon due to "the essential removal of a damaged unit that was destroyed".

Humberside Police is asking anyone with any information on the incidents to contact them using 101.
