Firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a health centre in the Beighton area of Sheffield.

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service crews were called on Wednesday afternoon to the incident on Queens Road, and advised people living and working nearby to keep doors and windows closed until the fire is extinguished.

It added: "Please avoid the area if possible to allow our crews to work."

Staff at nearby Sothall Medical Centre said on social media that Beighton Health Centre staff had "made it out of the building safely" although the pharmacy would could remain closed on Thursday.
