Maguire banned for speeding under airport runway

Manchester United player Harry Maguire has been banned from driving after admitting speeding.

Bolton Magistrates Court' heard he was captured on camera driving his Range Rover at 85mph (136kph) as he came out of a tunnel on Wilmslow Road, under the runway of Manchester Airport, on 5 March last year.

He was banned for 56 days, fined £666 and ordered to pay £120 costs and a £266 surcharge.

A legal representative appeared on behalf of the 31-year-old, who did not attend the hearing.
