Series of M4 overnight closures set to begin

Drivers are being urged to plan their journeys in advance with a series of closures on the M4 set to begin.
National Highways is carrying out resurfacing work on the eastbound carriageway between junctions 15 and 14, near Membury Services.
The first closure is planned for Monday evening and there will be more than a dozen closures until March, with the majority of work taking place overnight.
Victoria Bathe, National Highways project manager, said: "This vital resurfacing work will provide a safer, smoother and quieter road for both drivers and communities nearby for many years to come."
She added: "We plan our work carefully to minimise disruption and we are carrying out most of this maintenance at night when traffic is at its lightest.
"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank drivers for their patience and remind those planning on passing through this section of the M4, or using one of our diversion routes, to allow extra time to complete their journeys."
Drivers have been asked to follow diversion signs rather than their sat navs to make sure they follow the correct route.
The affected area has already seen restricted traffic, with a series of lane closures put in place earlier this month.
