Man charged with murder over woman's death

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 39-year-old woman at a home in Reading.

Thames Valley Police said officers were called to a stabbing at the address on the A4 London Road near Regent Street on Sunday at about 14:35 BST. Linner Sang died at the scene.

Edwin Kiplangat has been charged with one count of murder and two counts of assault ocassioning actual bodily harm. Police said he lived with Ms Sang at the London Road address.

The 29-year-old has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

Thames Valley Police said Ms Linner's next of kin had been informed and specialist family liaison officers were supporting her loved ones "at this extremely difficult time".
