Three teenage boys arrested over bike robberies

Three teenage boys have been arrested by officers investigating two bike robberies.

Nottinghamshire Police said a motorbike was taken from outside The Griffin, Plumtree in Main Road, Plumtree, at about 12:45 BST on Monday by three masked people.

The owner tried to intervene but told officers he was threatened with a hammer.

Police were then called to Nottingham Knight Island at 14:17 on the same day after a cyclist reported being threatened with a knife and forced to hand over his push bike.

Three boys aged 14, 16 and 17 have been arrested on suspicion of both robberies.
