A man has died after getting into difficulty in the sea off Skegness beach.
In a social media post, RNLI Lifeguards Lincolnshire said the man was unconscious when he was pulled from the water on Monday afternoon.
Despite efforts to resuscitate him, he died at the scene, a spokesperson said.
"Our thoughts go to the family and friends affected by the incident, along with many of the beach visitors who witnessed the tragic events at the time," they added.
In a statement, East Midlands Ambulance Service said crews were called shortly after 15:30 BST to the Promenade area of the resort.
"We sent a paramedic in a solo response car and two ambulances. The air ambulance was also in attendance," a spokesperson said.
