Arson suspected after warehouse destroyed in fire

Investigators suspect a large fire at a warehouse in Loughborough was started deliberately.

The partially-disused industrial unit in Great Central Road was badly damaged in a blaze in the early hours of Sunday.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service has examined the remains of the property and said it believed the fire was set deliberately.

Leicestershire Police had earlier confirmed it was treating the fire as suspicious and was working with the fire service on the investigation.
