Three people, including two teenagers, have been arrested following an incident in Cornwall that left a man with serious injuries to his hand.

The assault and robbery took place at a property at St Mary's Road, Bodmin, on Saturday.

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital for treatment while a 16-year-old boy and a man aged 18, both from Bodmin, were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

A 17-year-old boy, also from Bodmin, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of class A drugs. All three have been released on bail, pending further enquiries.

A number of units attended the incident, including a police helicopter, police dog and uniformed officers.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said it was not believed there was any wider threat to the public.

Detective Constable Harry Mills said: "We continue to urge anyone with any information to come forward and would particularly like anyone with dashcam footage from between 15:00 and 15:45 GMT."
