Two charged with attempted murder appear in court

A man and woman have appeared in court charged with attempted murder following an assault on a man in Lincoln.

Lincolnshire Police said officers were called to a property in Monks Road on 31 August, where a 37-year-old man was found with serious injuries.

Sarah Mason, 46, and Matthew Pearson, 29, both of no fixed address, appeared before magistrates in the city earlier.

They have both been remanded into custody and will appear at Lincoln Crown Court on 6 October.

Mr Pearson was also charged with two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker, one count of common assault of an emergency worker and one count of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.
