Police activity linked to dog walker murder case
- Published
An increased police presence in a village is related to the ongoing investigation into a woman who was killed while walking her dog, the force confirmed.
Anita Rose, 57, left her home in Brantham in Suffolk at about 05:00 BST for her daily walk on 24 July when she was attacked. She died four days later in hospital.
Villagers reported seeing police dog units, police cars and a helicopter in the area on Thursday.
Suffolk Police confirmed there would be an increased police presence, relating to the investigation.
Jessica Cox, one of Ms Rose's six children, made an appeal on BBC Crimewatch Live earlier this week to find her mother's killer.
"We need to find the person that done this to my mum. They need to face justice," she said.
A police spokesman said: "The activity in Brantham relates to ongoing inquiries as detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of the attack on Anita Rose. Residents can expect an increased police presence today."
Ms Rose's pink Regatta jacket, black quilted phone case with a gold crown and stud detail, and white bud earphones all remain missing.
Detectives believe they may hold key information or evidence.
Three people have been arrested and released on bail in connection with the inquiry, but officers have yet to charge anyone with any offences.
Crimestoppers has offered a £20,000 reward for anyone able to offer "key information".
