A woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, after a cyclist died in a crash in Worcestershire.

Police and ambulance crews were called after the collision between a bicycle and a car on Enterprise Way in Vale Business Park, Evesham, at about 17:15 GMT on Wednesday.

West Mercia Police said the 47 year-old cyclist died at the scene after he was struck by a blue Fiat 500.

The driver has since been released under investigation as inquiries continued, the force added.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the driver did not require medical treatment.

Det Sgt Liam Bennett, of the force's serious collision investigation unit, said officers were carrying out a number of inquiries.

"[We're] keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision, who may have seen either the bicycle or the car beforehand, or anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage," he said.
