A group of people pickpocketed an elderly woman's purse and used her bank card to withdraw £800 from a cashpoint, police have said.

On Friday, Gloucestershire Police released CCTV images of four people they would like to speak to after the woman, in her late 70s, was pickpocketed while shopping on Eastgate Street in Gloucester.

Police said the victim noticed a group of people loitering around her and asking her questions while inside several shops and at the bank, before later discovering that her purse had gone missing.

The theft was reported as taking place between 13:40 and 14:10 BST on Saturday 15 June.

Officers have conducted a number of enquiries since the incident and have launched an appeal to identify a group of people they believe can help them in connection with the theft.

Anyone who recognises any of the people pictured or has any information on what happened is asked to contact the police.
