Murder inquiry begins after man in 70s is stabbed

Police have begun a murder investigation after a man in his 70s was found fatally stabbed.
Norfolk Police was called to a property in Layer Close, Bowthorpe, Norwich, by the ambulance service shortly before 04:45 GMT after paramedics reported a man at the address was being violent and aggressive.
Officers arrived to find an elderly man had suffered stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 20s was arrested at the location on suspicion of murder and is in police custody.
Full circumstances
The ambulance service went to the property after a man reported he was having breathing difficulties.
The deceased man's next of kin have been informed and a cordon was in place, police said.
Det Chief Insp Kev Barber said: "Detectives will be working to establish the full circumstances of what happened this morning.
"We can confirm those involved are known to one another and there isn't any wider risk to the public.
"I understand this news is shocking and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who sadly lost his life.
"I'd ask that if anyone has information that may be able to help our investigation to please share this with us."
