Water supply disrupted for many households

Cambridge Water said a burst main affected supplies to a number of villages

A major burst water main affected supplies to a number of households in parts of Cambridgeshire earlier.

On social media, residents living in places including Fenstanton, Northstowe, Fen Drayton, Over and Longstanton reported issues with their water supply.

Cambridge Water said customers in the PE27, PE28 and CB24 postcodes were experiencing low pressure or no water.

Shortly after 11:00 GMT the company said the burst main was the cause and supplies had been restored to all users.
