A major rail line in South Yorkshire has reopened after passengers faced major disruption during the morning rush hour.

Services between Sheffield and Doncaster were cancelled after a signalling failure near Meadowhall, while other trains were heavily delayed.

The fault affected TransPennine Express and Northern services in the area, before the line was reopened just after 09:30 BST.

Knock-on disruption affected services until about 11:00 BST, National Rail said.
