Liverpool's arts festival River of Light has announced its 2025 line-up.
The annual event will showcase 10 large-scale artworks from Friday 24 October to Sunday 2 November.
The eighth edition of the festival will celebrate a new theme - 'the science of light' -with each installation inspired by an area of science, technology or nature.
Liverpool City Council said the installations will be placed along a 3km (1.9 mile) route along the city's waterfront including the Royal Albert Dock and the Pier Head.
The installations include Face Value by scientist Emma Brass, artist Venya Krutikov and the Invisible Wind Factory, which incorporates robotics.
'Joyful experience'
Another installation, Dandelion by Australian artists Amigo and Amigo, is inspired by the dandelion flower and its wind-blown petals, which some cultures revere for their medicinal qualities.
The festival will also see the return of "quiet hours", on 26 and 29 October, for visitors with additional needs.
The council said River of Light welcomed record-breaking visitor numbers and brought in £18.9 million to the local economy in 2024.
The council's cabinet member for health, wellbeing and culture, councillor Harry Doyle, said: "For us to hand over the streets of Liverpool to artists - and this year scientists as well - is such a joyful experience, and I can't wait to see locals and visitors enjoying this extraordinary art show again."
