'Substantial' cannabis farm discovered in town

A "substantial" cannabis farm has been discovered in a former business premises in a market town, police have said.

Officers seized "a large amount of cannabis plants" on Saturday morning after the scene on Keighley Road in Skipton had been sealed off.

North Yorkshire Police said nobody had been arrested but that its investigation remained ongoing. The property was made safe and the plants removed.

The force has asked anyone with information that can assist its enquiries to get in touch.
