A man's body has been discovered in the River Witham in Lincoln.

Emergency services were called to Stamp End at 18:15 BST on Wednesday.

Lincolnshire Police said: "Sadly, a man in his 30s who was pulled from the water was confirmed to be deceased.

"We are keeping an open mind while we investigate the circumstances and cause of his death."

The force added that the man's next of kin had been informed.
