A teenager has been taken to hospital after being hit by a police vehicle attending a crime scene.

The boy suffered minor injuries when he was struck in Hyde Road, Manchester, at about 21:30 GMT on Saturday, police said.

He was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Greater Manchester Police said they had referred the incident to their internal professional standards body in line with their standard procedures.
