Man, 37, arrested after fire at former pub

A 37-year-old man has been arrested after a fire at a former pub in south Wales.

Emergency services were called to the old O'Briens pub on Holton Road, Barry, Vale of Glamorgan at about 02:00 BST on Friday.

Fire crews used specialist equipment to extinguish the blaze, and everyone in the three-storey property was accounted for.

The man, who is from Barry, has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and was taken into police custody.
